AFMSTT

CESI provides technical engineering services for the Air Force Modeling and Simulations Training Toolkit (AFMSTT). AFMSTT is a set of interoperable software models and tools that provide a complete constructive, simulated, theater-level air warfare environment for the U.S. Air Force (USAF). It provides operationally realistic physical and behavioral representations for air power and air base activities, to include roles and missions across the range of military operations in support of battle staff training and service-unique experimentation.

AFMSTT scales to support specific warfighting domains of other Service, Joint, Coalition, and Air Force audiences at all echelons from the Air Force component (AFFOR) staff of either a Joint Task Force (JTF) or Unified/Sub-unified Commander’s staff, as well as the Combined Force Air Component Commander’s (CFACC) staff at either level.

AFMSTT is used to train Air Operations Center (AOC) staffs by:

  • Stimulating Command and Control (C2) systems
  • Populating air operations to a Common Operational Picture (COP)
  • Simulating situational awareness feeds with takeoff and landing times, in-flight statuses, and mission results as they would appear in real-world operations

AFMSTT facilitates AOC training by providing an environment in which the staff can practice decision making and enhance readiness at all echelons through realistic planning and execution.

CESI provides engineering design and development, test, technical support, fielding, and other services for AFMSTT.
